Hilinski’s Hope is trying to raise $33,333 to support #3Day and the inaugural College Football Mental Health Awareness Week.

We are less than two weeks away from #3Day and College Football Mental Health Awareness Week. We’re so excited to have 16 universities partner with us this year, along with many individuals committed to prioritizing mental health for student athletes, eradicating stigma, and proclaiming that #MentalHealthMatters.

We’re so grateful for Greg Bishop for bringing our mission to light with an article in Sports Illustrated this week, which you can read here.

Teams will be participating in at least one of three ways:

  1. Helmet Stickers - featuring a lime green ribbon, the official ribbon showing solidarity for those struggling with mental health and illness, on their player's helmets

  2. 3 in the 3rd - game attendees will be asked to raise 3 fingers in the air for the first play of the third quarter allowing students, parents, alumni, and fans to participate in showing solidarity. H3H has provided a mental health PSA to play in stadiums and on social media, watch the PSA and learn more about #3Day on our new website.

  3. Bringing H3H to Campus - H3H has partnered with the NCAA Sports Science Institute to create and provide mental health support for student-athletes. You can learn more about these programs on our website

As part of College Football Mental Health Awareness Week, you can join us on October 6, for a 30 minute webinar alongside the Institute to Promote Athlete Health and Wellness (IPAHW) and Prevention Strategies. Learn more and RSVP.

Individuals can also be a part of this week by showing their support for Hilinski’s Hope, mental health resources, and programs at their schools on social media.

We’ve put together some ideas for you, here. Don’t forget to tag us @HilinskisHope and #3Day!

None of our work would be possible without the amazing support we have received from our partners and individuals like you. We would love to reach our goal of raising $33,333 for College Football Mental Health Awareness Week. Your donations would go to helping colleges and universities save lives, eliminate stigma, and scale mental wellness programs for student-athletes.

If you’re unable to donate, please feel free to share our mission with your community. We are so grateful for your support! Together, we can show our student athletes that #MentalHealthMatters.

With love and hope,

Mark and Kym Hilinski
