Tyler Talks and E:60 Emmy
The summer has flown by and while some days seem to blend together we've had a productive season. We held many virtual Tyler Talks with schools all over the country, Mark traveled to Tennessee to meet with the Elite 11 Staff and this years quarterbacks, and we took part in many podcasts, including our own UNIT3D (find our new UNIT3D Instagram here).
The most surreal moment of the summer was seeing the E:60 Hilinski's Hope Film receive a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Short Sports Documentary. We're very grateful for all the support we've received from ESPN, and appreciate all the care and support producers Russell Dinallo and Jen Lada, and their teams, continue to give our family.
COVID-19 has dominated the headlines and made life even more challenging for those suffering in silence. We are completely committed to bringing awareness and ending the stigma of discussing mental health issues publicly and loudly.
It’s Almost #3Day
We are just weeks away from #3Day (October 3) kicking off College Football Mental Health Week (October 3-10).
Individuals can participate during the week by telling us why #MentalHealthMatters to them on social media (tag us @HilinskisHope and use the #3Day hashtag!).
You can also show your support by purchasing a #MentalHealthMatters t-shirt here (pre-orders end Sept 3).
The schools and universities participating in this inaugural event will be wearing decals on their helmets and/or supporting “3 in the 3rd” - where the fans, players and coaches hold up three fingers in support of Tyler and all of those that may be suffering in silence.
Additionally, all teams continue to support the growth of additional resources on campus for their student athletes. We remain grateful for this support!
#BeKind21
Hilinski's Hope is excited to participate in #BeKind21 this year. Inspired by the idea that habits are formed by repeating an activity for 21 consecutive days, Born This Way Foundation hosts #BeKind21 and invites participants to build a habit of kindness, a need more prevalent now than ever.
The challenge calls on participants to join from September 1st to September 21st. We invite you, your organizations, and your schools to join #BeKind21. Learn more and pledge to kindness, here.
With love and hope,
Mark and Kym
