Northwestern to Wear White Jerseys, Hilinski's Hope Decals Against Nebraska
Sports Illustrated
Northwestern (2-2) announced the team's uniform combination for its Week 5 contest at Nebraska (2-3).
Northwestern will wear white jerseys with black helmets and pants, both marked with the purple 'N' as they resume Big Ten play. The Wildcats will also wear Hilinski's Hope decals with lime green ribbons in support of College Football Mental Health Week, which takes place Oct. 2-9.
Hilinski's Hope is a nonprofit organization founded by the family of Northwestern quarterback Ryan Hilinski, which aims to shatter the stigma surrounding mental health for student-athletes. Sixty schools have pledged to join the mission and will be repping Hilinski's Hope decals for College Football Mental Health Week. For more information on Hilinski's Hope, click here.
The 'Cats will look for some luck in their uniforms, as eight of 10 matchups between Northwestern and Nebraska since the Huskers joined the Big Ten in 2011 have been decided by one score, including all five held in Lincoln. Of those, six have been decided by three points or less, with each school winning three.
The Wildcats and Huskers will kick off in Lincoln at 6:30 pm CT on Big Ten Network.
