Marist & Stetson Football Partner for Mental Health Awareness

Go Red Foxes

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Saturday's Stetson-Marist football game will feature both teams raising awareness for mental health.

The Red Foxes are taking part in Hilinski's Hope College Football Mental Health Week, which aims to promote the importance of mental health in college athletics.

Hilinski's Hope is an organization that was created to eliminate the stigma around mental health among college athletes, and also promote positive outlets and awareness to mental health. The organization was created by the Hilinski family after their son, Tyler – who was the quarterback at Washington State University – took his own life in 2018.

Both teams will be wearing helmet decals and will be participating in "3 in the 3rd." Players will hold up the number three during the first play of the third quarter in honor of Tyler Hilinski, who wore number three.

Donations are available by clicking here or by texting H3HOPE to 44321.
