Keene State College officials are working to make sure their student-athletes are paying attention to their mental health.
Over the weekend, the college hosted the founders of Hilinski's Hope, a non-profit organization started by the parents of Tyler Hilinski, a former Washington State quarterback who died by suicide in 2018.
“At first, we were really at a loss at how we keep living without him, but what we found is that as we meet with thousands and thousands of student-athletes, and coaches and ADs across the country, it actually helps us to believe that we are changing and possibly saving lives,” Kym Hilinski, the mother of Tyler Hilinski, said.
