THE FOUNDATION that Tyler Hilinksi's parents have launched to remove the stigma associated with mental illness among student athletes has received a high-profile show of support. Former Washington State and NFL quarterbacking star Drew Bledsoe, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, is launching a special Be Bottle promotion on behalf of Hilinski's Hope.

Be Bottle, based in Bend, Oregon, and backed by Bledsoe, created an innovative, double insulated stainless steel bottle with a removable bottom.  The company's aim is to reduce usage of single-use plastic bottles by providing a better, and stylish alternative.

"But this is much bigger than a bottle. In addition to helping Coug Nation to go plastic free, we’re also on a mission to honor the legacy of Tyler Hilinski by driving mental health awareness," the company said this week. "All profits of the Special Edition #3 Be Bottle will be donated to Hilinski’s Hope to educate, advocate, and remove the stigma associated with mental illness. The foundation will also fund programs that provide student-athletes with the tools to support their mental health and wellness.

“According to Tyler’s parents, the environment was extremely important to him and we are honored to be able to share our mission with him. Now is the time for Coug Nation to unite and continue to honor Tyler’s legacy. Let’s 'Be The Change' together!”
