Look at us now: Hilinski’s Hope 16 months later

Today marks the 16 month anniversary of Tyler’s passing by suicide on 1/16/18. Our hearts continue to break every minute of every day but we know we must carry Tyler with us as we move forward to bring good into the world. It is what he would expect from us and we will not let him down.

We are proud of the work we’ve been able to accomplish for student athletes across the country. We are participating in College mental health conferences, community based mental health conferences, trainings at colleges and universities, and different levels of outreach, from local community members, athletic directors/coaches/student athletes to meetings with members of government.  

The following events have occurred because of your generosity and commitment to helping us move forward in our grief, the grief we know you all share. We are steadfast in our commitment to never lose another student athlete because they feel they have no options as they suffer in silence. We are eradicating the stigma associated with mental illness student by student, school by school. We are still moving through our partnering process with the NCAA, which will allow us to help many more students efficiently and effectively.  We will keep you updated as we make strides with the development of this unique and valuable partnership.
