Catch up with the Hilinski's

Welcome, Summer!

We can’t believe we’re halfway through 2021! We hope you and your loved ones are enjoying a great start to summer. Last month was Mental Health Awareness Month, and what a busy, successful month it was.

Throughout May, we held conversations with students, coaches, and sports psychologists on our blog and the Unit3d podcast, we delivered Tyler Talks (in person!), and we joined over 1,000 organizations for MTV Mental Health Action Day.

Everyone has mental health, so in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month we hosted our third #3for3 challenge as a way to start conversations, break stigma, and build new habits. Kym ran three miles each day, and we saw each and everyone of you that sacrificed your time to join our movement.

We are so grateful for all who participated, thank you for being leaders to those around you.

Also during May, with YOUR generosity, our first Hilinski’s Hope and Hearts Auction raised over $100K! A heartfelt thank you to all those helping us continue the good work of assisting student-athletes with their mental health at schools across the country! It was a wonderful gift as Mental Health Awareness Month came to an end.

Looking towards this fall, we’re excited to bring back our second, annual College Football Mental Health Week!

Thank you to Greg Bishop for telling the world about this program’s return - you can read about it in Sports Illustrated or watch our 2021 announcement video below.

Last year, seventeen schools curated a collective week of action focused on eliminating stigma and increasing mental health resources. We saw schools across the country lead important conversations. This year, we’re proud to have 10+ schools signed up to join us this fall - including Alabama, Texas A&M, San Diego, and several other, wonderful schools and universities.

We encourage and welcome more schools to join us by participating in any of these three ways:

  1. Helmet Decals

  2. Participating in 3 in the 3rd

  3. Bringing in H3H to Campus with our Game Plan program. Our next, quarterly training is July 15 - inquire about the Game Plan here!

To all universities, colleges, and high schools - please reach out and join our group to help raise awareness, get conversations going and help support one another, on and off the fields and courts.

With love and hope,
Kym and Mark Hilinski
and the Hilinski's Hope Team
