#3for3 Challenge is back!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Hello and Happy Spring! Much has been happening in the world of Hilinski's Hope, and we're about to welcome in a month of fighting stigma with Mental Health Awareness Month! Our hope is that each of you take time to care for your mental health this month, and encourage your loved ones to do the same.

#3for3 Challenge is back

This year is Hilinski's Hope's THIRD year of the #3for3 Challenge - and we would love your help to make it great. Each May, we do this challenge as part of Mental Health Awareness Month to raise awareness, break stigma, and increase resources for our student athletes. You can support simply by posting online, here's how:

1. Speak Your Support: Tell us why taking care of your mental health is important to you, or ways you keep your mental health a priority.

2. Show Your #3for3: Whether it’s burpees, squats, or pushups  - show us how you get up for those who are down.

2. Encourage Donating to the Cause: Help us increase mental health resources for student athletes by encouraging donations at hilinskishope.org/donate or by texting H3HOPE to 44321.

Starting May 3rd, and running all month long, we will be getting up for those who are down. You can find example scripts and graphics on our webpage.

What's Next?

The last few months, we have been busy training our first round of the Hilinski’s Hope Game Plan participants. Soon the program will kick off with over a dozen university partners. The first schools in line to complete this comprehensive program are the University of Alabama, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Pomona College, Louisiana Tech University, University at Buffalo, and Stevenson University.

As we look towards the fall, we're excited to see the return of College Football Mental Health Week on October 2-9. In 2020, 18 universities and colleges collaborated to curate a collective week of action focused on eliminating stigma and increasing mental health resources. Our first sign up deadline is May 15 - encourage your college or university to be a part of something big. See the details and fill out the interest form here.

Thank you.

We were also so grateful to be named the national charity recipient at the NCAA Final Four during April. Thank you to all of those who purchased a cut out, it warmed our hearts to see you in the stands!

With love and hope,
Kym and Mark Hilinski
and the Hilinski's Hope Team
